When they acquired TV rights for the UK Premier League, the UEFA Champions and Europa league,  SFR, 2nd French Telco with more than 4 million TV subscribers positioned itself as a leading company over the sports offering. Such an attractive sport TV bundle had to be available on as many platforms as possible.


From the RMC SPORT app, SFR’s fixed line or mobile or OTT subscribers have access to five and up to 11 extra live RMC Sports channels. The RMC Sport service on the targeted platforms uses smooth streaming technology so subscribers may reach their content whatever their bandwidth is. They would also reach a horizontal navigation EPG, the whole RMC Sport replay catalogue to watch again for 7 days all programs aired on RMC Sport channels. At last, subscribers can discover the trending topics in the A LA UNE section

02. Development experts

WIZTIVI’s team achieved the development of the app. The delivered solution would match the different type of player depending on the platform on which the app is being deployed. Series of tests were achieved on the different platform to match with the targeted OS. 

The service includes a restart feature for subscribers to be able to watch a program up to 8 hours after its broadcast. Coming soon, the expert zone will enrich the user’s TV experience during football games with a timeline made up with videos of the match highlights, line-ups, matches facts, live scores and tables. The RMC sport app delivers a feeling of continuity in the User Experience (UX). 

03. #SDK

RMC benefited from a state of the art OTT video app within a challenging period of time. The use of the WIZTIVI’s SDK combined to the huge experience of the WIZTIVI’s team of Developers led to the fast release of the RMC SPORTS video apps and met RMC’s time-to-market. The app is available for SFR’s TV and/or mobile subscribers as much as for any sports fan willing to reach the best sporting OTT TV offer.
