In June 2012, Viacom International Media Networks France launched in partnership with CanalSat, the leading French pay-TV platform, the world’s first personalised channel: «My Nick Jr.».

02. Recommendation Engine

The design of the channel was thought for children and displays colorful and simple items. The channel analyses viewer preferences and dynamically adapts its broadcasting to fit each viewer’s tastes thanks to COGNIK’s recommendation engine integrated by Wiztivi.

03. Award Winning

The game-changing nature of “My Nick Jr.” was recognised to be the  “BEST ENHANCED TV SERVICE” at AFDESI’s International Interactive TV Awards ceremony which took place in Cannes during the 2012 MIPCOM.

It also was a runner-up in the ENTERTAINMENT and USER EXPERIENCE AND DESIGN INTERFACE categories, turning it into the most nominated service in the competition.

Such a successful interactive TV Channel has been deployed on many devices including TIVO’s STBs (UK) in 2015, le Cube of Canal + in 2015, Vodafone Spain’s STBs in 2016. Many deployments are still to come in the future.
