Wiztivi to diversify in cloud gaming entertainment

Paris, April, the 26th, 2017 – Wiztivi, leading company in design and development of multiscreen User Interface for broadcast and OTT video services, announces the acquisition of the European operational cloud gaming activities of Oy Gamecluster, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Broadmedia GC, established in Espoo (Finland). Broadmedia GC is a worldwide leader in aggregating and streaming video games for telco operators. Its main domain of expertise stands on over 15 years of experience in game porting, platform management, development and maintenance. In December 2015, the G-cluster platform was rated the #1 cloud service for gamers by (1).

Major Pay TV operators 

These services are already available on Orange and SFR with a large installed customer base in France where the video games market is very dynamic with a 6% growth in 2015 (+ 23% on digital) (2). With an average revenue of €126  / year / user, video games come before books (€119), video (€75) and music (€50) on the leisure market(3). With already more than 250 games available, from major AAA games to casual games for all the family, Orange and SFR will be eager to offer constantly larger contents to their subscribers.

In this context, Wiztivi, through its license to Broadmedia GC’s gaming technology for European countries, continues to operate the service, both for Orange and SFR’s Groups, but also for all the Telecom Operators which will want to add this kind of contents to their offer.
